I believe it. My website gets as much as 20,000 visitors a month and I have just a regular blog. o video, nothing special. Imagine having a new video everyday. Add to that the supposed figure of $25 per thousand viewers that online ad can command. Two ad spots, five days a week and you’re very close to that figure.

That seems quite high, I don’t think their auctioned ads generated that much money, and they seemed to be in need of money for equipment.

They really need to get back in the game of daily news, lately some of their stuff has been lackluster. At least, lackluster enough for me to stop following it, I imagine others are in this boat too.

That thought did cross my mind… I do recall the first commercial they put up (solicited via eBay auction) and it was for an ATM machine distributor. There was suppose to be more of such commercials each week by different companies, including Earthlink, but I didn’t follow every episode to notice. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were product placements and even slight mentions “on air” to sell links. It’d be good for someone to get to the bottom of this… I’ve been puzzled ever since I wrote about “How videocasting is seriously funny business“.

Yeah, I was wonder on that figure too.. $85/- per week thru adsense would be kewl but with RocketBoom ? not sure.

300K viewers, is really a small markter. Albiet it could also mean an niche market
