Media Interest has been getting a little crazy the last 2 weeks. Seems everyone has discovered Plentyoffish exists.
A short clip on plentyoffish has been airing nationally tonight on the largest national newscast in Canada.

Chris, you probably wanted to write something like:
“Would love to see this surface on Google Video Pay Per View with respect of copyright holders”
didn’t you?

Guys, find a Canadian IP based proxy and view it through there.
Marcus, I saw the clip because I’m based in Ontario. Cool.

Your situation reminds me of a British musician who was asked by a journalist how it felt to be
“an overnight sensation”. His reply: “Well, the first thing you have to understand is that it has taken me twenty years to become an overnight sensation…”

Yeah, would love to watch the video… Too bad canada.com is blocking US traffic from viewing. Anyone have proxy settings that will actually work to view? All I could find was anonymous Canadian proxies

wondering, you think the publicity is bad or good for business overall?
a one manshow might or not sound positive as a business (but is extremely impressive as an individual) and might trigger a flocks of me toos.
of course, it might also bring attention to the site and much more traffic.

Marcus, you are not in this Oct 17 Wall Street article “Start-Ups Hope Web Ad Boom Spreads Wealth” but it deals with themes discussed in your blog.

Hi Markus,
This is a general comment about your site and not about this posting. Couldn’t find any discussion about this particular topic.
Do you feel the interface (look/design) of POF can be improved? Personally as a user, that was the only thing that made me think: this site may not be legit (i.e. small user base, waste of time). I believe with a swanky interface you’d be killing the pay sites much faster.
(And NO I’m not trying to sell you design services!)

I don’t have time to watch the video right now, but I just have to say that you rock Markus. Taking a small idea and achieving this much success is very admirable. To think that you are still a one man show is freaking awesome. Good luck kicking the other dating sites butts!!!!
