Clearly yahoo screwed up by not buying facebook, the previous $2 billion valuation on facebook is starting to look real cheap. With this growth rate facebook will pass myspace in the next few months as the largest social network. Facebook gained 500 million dailly pageviews in the last 30 days, that is growing the size of plentyoffish every 2 days… Damn…
On other note myspace has just passed $30 million a month in revenue from ads.

I joined Facebook “back in the day” when all the SanFran folks did, to kick the tires, etc.
In the last 4 – 6 weeks, it has hit Canada, starting here on the west coast. I could *see* it moving across the country, hitting Toronto a few weeks later. By my calculations, it’s somewhere around New Brunswick now.
Of course, the only time I go there is when people add me…
Have time for coffee some time soon? The crazy times have faded a bit…

Boris, you’re kind of off. I’m a second year university student, Facebook has been well known since last year. Its of course growing every day, but is by no means just being hit by Canadians just now. With Ontario having TONS of univerisities compared to the rest of Canada, its probably been strongest in this area for the longest time.

I think Myspace needs to be taken down and I happy for how well facebook is doing. i tried myself but simply haven’t been able to really get it moving like the rest. i started famuse.com doing great untill the ISPS started blocking invites being sent by my members.

Being from the UK, I am really surprised by how sure you people are about Facebook. MySpace is still growing in popularity over here and shows no sign of giving way to any other contender any time soon

I have not even tried facebook yet, but myspace def. seems to be growing in popularity over here still.
