Call me naive, but I wasn’t thinking that this kind of companies have 100s of sites for SEO reasons. What are (were) they doing? Create fake sites to fool google?

…actually, if the stats are anywhere close to what this guy is saying … $5M sounds like its WAY under priced. Maybe its reasonable for a free site, but the ad mentions card processing accounts and affiliate programs.
Maybe you’re right (comment above) – this is just a spam operation, not any real brand for sale.

So are you thinking of buying it? If even 50% of the subscribers are real that could be a good deal in the long term but not in taking the website as separate business but integrating it inside POF. All of course depends on the quality…

Question: when people talk about buying a website for its profiles … where is the value in that? I mean, so you import them into your main site? Ok, but how do those members know to login and start using the new site? I’m guessing that doesn’t happen. So then is it more about just buying profiles to populate the pool? Or are you really buying the email list?
