I found a strange press release from a billing company talking about meetic. It seems that meetic has out sourced all billing to a third party ? Can anyone shed any light on what exactly this is?
As for the match meetic deal, details of the transaction are here.
“Meetic SA to buy Match.com International Ltd. from IAC/InterActiveCorp. for $110 million
Boulogne-Billancourt, France-based online dating service provider Meetic agreed to acquire Match.com International, known as (Match Europe, the UK-based European operations of Dallas-based online dating service provider Match.com. The seller is IAC/InterActiveCorp., the New York City-based E-commerce group, which is paying $16.9 per share for 6,094,334 new shares, along with promissory notes of $6.64 million, in a transaction that will give IAC a 26.8-percent stake in Meetic and 21.1 percent of its voting rights. The transaction is expected to close no later than June 30.”
I wonder what be2, parship and eharmony will do this year…

Markus – Perhaps a little off-topic, but when I try to go to http://www.plentyoffish.com, I am getting an error message stating “bad request. Invalid hostname”. You might be aware, but if not, I wanted to let you know.

I was able to get on the site last night from 11-2am but I’m now getting the same error message as Rob M.

I hope that you are working to fix, because I made plans to go on a date tonight and I need to access the site to find out what time.

Hi Markus,
First and foremost I’d like to thank you for your GREAT dating site! It is a wonderful resource for meeting people in my area and I LOVE the chat feature….it helps weed out the riff-raff!
As stated above, I’ve tried several times over the last couple of hours to log in and receive the same error message.
Question is: Are you okay? I know you run this site out of your home and I’m just making sure you are okay.

Hi there,
It is 4:45 pm. I am getting the following meesage:
The webpage cannot be found… and when I click on more informaiton, it give me the following:
This error (HTTP 400 Bad Request) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the web server, but the webpage could not be found because of a problem with the address.

Is all OK? Hopefully, it is an esay fix.
