Meetic to Launch a dating site in Japan.

http://www.crm2day.com/news/crm/121535.php

After carefully reviewing potential email management solution providers, Meetic decided at the end of 2004 that Eptica was the right choice. After a successful deployment Meetic went live during the first quarter of 2005, following a brief, two-month implementation, illustrating the ease with which the solution can be installed and integrated with existing systems.

The solution can also be easily configured to allow for new agents, territories and countries to come online with minimal effort. With Meetic’s recent acquisition of the UK’s dating site DatingDirect.com, expansion into Japan expected in the near future and the requirement to roll out similar capabilities to its sister brand, Superlol, a MySpace-like online service for young people, such simplicity is a key feature.

Looks like the Match.com/meetic battle is heating up.

    Hi Markus:

My name is Jim Myers and I am business partner of an online communication company. We are not that big but we do have fantastic online communication services.

I have read more then one article where you have mentioned the decline of the web 2.0 trend. Web 2.0 sites need to find a way to “hook” members in for the long term. We have services that will do that: Complete community communication suite with the newest greatest technology interfaces: Call buttons, calls triggered from computers, Free calling between members, A voice lobby made of voice rooms, Voice Rooms for each member(simliar too but much better then skype), Virtual phone numbers, Virtual PABX etc..

Plenty of Fish can remain free but value added services to the Members would create another massive avenue of income.

Our services run off the HearMe platform if your familiar with it? We own the source code and would like to work with a person like yourself in a JV that will take the services to the market in a big way.

I will be in Vancouver next week and I would like to hook up with you and talk about the possibilities.

    Sincerely,

    Jim Myers

Not interested. The field is very crowded and its outside of my focus area. I’ve no great desire to start a war with Quest personals, teligence & Lavalife.
